Indications

Abiraterone acetate is prescribed in combination with prednisone or prednisolone for adult male patients diagnosed with:

• Metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC)
• Metastatic high-risk castration-sensitive prostate cancer (mCSPC)
• Advanced prostate cancer requiring ongoing hormone suppression therapy

Patients are generally advised to continue androgen deprivation therapy using a GnRH analogue unless surgical castration has been performed.
